Happy Monday, yall. But more importantly… HAPPY AMAZON PRIME DAY!
Amazon Prime Day, or Prime Days, will take place for two days this year; Monday, July 15 and Tuesday, July 16. If you remember, Amazon actually crashed last year and they extended the sale. This year the company is cutting to the chase and keeping the deals rolling for a full 48 hours. But just because the sale is lasting twice as long doesn’t mean the stock will- hurry and grab your favorite items, especially if you’re eyeing electronics, or you may miss your chance.
I’ve been scouring the ‘ole Amazon app all week, peeping the deals and making my lists (I actually have a dozen different Wishlists and Shopping lists, because I have an Amazon Prime obsession). So here is a roundup of some of my picks for Amazon Prime Day 2019.

Amazon Prime Membership
Before we jump into the deals, in order to take advantage of Amazon Prime Day, you must have an Amazon Prime membership. Trust, the membership is worth it. If you don’t want to commit, take advantage of the free 30 day trial just for the Prime Day. If you don’t love it (you will), you can cancel it before it charge. Students who sign up using an .edu email receive a 6 month free trial instead of 30 days. I use my Amazon Trifecta (Prime, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible) literally every day.

Prime Launches
Items are also available exclusively for Prime Members; called Prime Launches. These items are not available for purchase at all without a Prime Membership. Make sure you browse the Launches to see what’s up for grabs.
Whole Foods
Spend $10 at Whole Foods, get $10 on Amazon
Totally random, I didn’t even know Amazon had a partnership with Whole Foods, but while browsing I found this deal. From 7/10 until 7/16, any Amazon Prime purchase over $10 gets you a $10 Amazon gift card. That’s pretty neat.

The most notable Amazon product are the Amazon Echo devices. When they first came out, I was skeptical. Especially since it linked to our thermostat, doorbell, and door lock. I imagined something like this…
Me: Hey Alexa, What’s the weather like today?
Alexa: The temperature is 62 degrees fahrenheit, with slight chance of rain.
Me: *attempts to open door but it’s locked*
Alexa: Grab a jacket, Katherine, or you aren’t going anywhere
That hasn’t happened, so far, but just the same I have warmed up to the idea of a smart radio. Actually, we currently have an original and an Echo Spot! Now that we have one, er two, I can’t imagine life without it. There’s the Echo, Echo Dot, and Echo Spot, which all basically do the same thing but different sizes and some bonus features (the Spot has a screen) and the Amazon Smart Plug lets you synch with an outlet!
Also, the Fire Stick is a great way to get television. It streams tons of programs, including Netflix.
Last year we snagged this Kindle Fire Kids for Charlotte-Ann, which came with a super durable case. She absolutely loves it. I have been eyeing a Kindle myself, since my poor eyes are exhausted reading 4-5 books per month on my tiny phone. There are plenty of Kindle E-Readers up for grabs on sale.
Oh, and Ring Video Doorbell Pro is legit awesome. This is the exact system we had at our previous house, and was awesome during Hurricane Harvey while we were evacuated so we could spy on our house. There are actually three different Ring doorbells on sale, so choose the one that works for your family.

Also, if you don’t already have an Apple Watch (Click here to read about mine!) then you need to get one. Although it’s more of a Smart Watch than a Fitness Watch, it does integrate with many fitness apps. There was a black one this morning that already sold out, so if you want this one hurry and snag it.

Items for the Kids
I am a huge fan of “learn through play” and using toys and crafts to homeschool. Plus, we spend a lot of time out in nature. We prefer not to spend too much time with the TV or tablet, but they’re still great to have when mama needs her coffee.
