You might have heard the big news, DotDotSmile is officially relaunching the graphic tees line! Those of you who have been around a while know that DotDotSmile already launched an extremely limited number of Tyler Jacobs designed graphic tees back in the beginning of the year. They sold out almost immediately, and once they were gone they were gone.
So, back by popular demand, DotDotSmile decided to relaunch the graphic tees but with some upgrade and improvements. Instead of outsourcing tees from American Apparel, these new graphic tees are exclusively designed tees made completely by dotdotsmile in our own factories. They’re the same great quality you already love from dotdotsmile, and now they have a few hidden dotdotsmile nods too– like polka dot detailing on the inside collar, and the dds logo on the sleeve.
Lets talk designs
The original graphic tees line was a Tyler Jacobs collaboration, and featured about 5 exclusively designed prints. An ice cream cone, “I’m a big dill”, “Lettuce turnip the beat”, and whatnot. Well the ice cream cone made from the logo is back, but also brand new designs we haven’t seen before. And there will be solids too. Tyler Jacobs is only one of the designers this time, and HelloTosha contributed a few designs as well. So we know we are going to love these adorable graphic tees that are great for both girls and boys.
Who are the Designers?
You might not recognize the Tyler Jacobs name, but I’m sure you are familiar with some of his work. He one of the brilliant masterminds behind Paul Frank; that super cute monkey figure that was so popular with I was a teen. He’s also one of the artists behind Yo Gabba Gabba and the Aquabats, so maybe your kids know his work.
HelloTosha
is a handlettering and watercolor artist from the midwest. A few months ago DotDotSmile released a few dress prints that she designed, the most recognizable prints is the pale blue dress with bright red blue and yellow paint splats, and now she’s back with some graphic tee designs.
So how can you get some?
I will be ordering graphic tees the same way as dresses and leggings. If you let me know what size you need, I place the order and when it comes in you can shop in my boutique, same as always. I don’t get to choose which designs I get of course, but you’re pretty much guaranteed a tee that you will love, because all of the sneak peeks we’ve seen so far are super cute. The tees will be made in sizes 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10.
I’m super super super excited to bring these back into the SymonSaysSmile Boutique because I know all of my boy moms have been begging for more DDS for their mini-bros, and they add a great casual option for girls as well.
