So let me tell you a secret: I’m not a fitness instructor, I’m not certified to train you or teach you what to eat. Heck, I’m pretty lazy and had to convince myself to go to the gym. I forget to eat most meals (I’m working on it!). So I can’t exactly call this a fitness blog, even though it is a blog about my journey to fitness. How’s that for confusing? None the less, I’m human. I am a human pursuing fitness, but also a human with multifaceted characterization.
So here is a survey I found from Darlene, who happens to be the first running blogger I ever followed.
Favorite iPhone app:
I live on Facebook. Since I moved across the country, I lost contact with a lot of my friends and family. Well, I might have lost contact prior. None the less, I use Facebook to stalk keep up with my old friends, share pictures of the baby, and communicate.
I spend far too much time on PokemonGo, but I swear it actually gets me outside!
Most-used emoji:
So funny story: back when Sawyer Fredericks, Upstate NY local celebrity from my hometown, was competing on The Voice, I followed him on Twitter. His most used emoji was the laughing tears emoji. I never used it. I always used the crown and the pink bow. But those don’t have any emotion, and the phrase “lol” is useless now. So coming current, I’ve randomly started using the laughing tears emoji quite a bit. It’s the top emoji on my list.
Last song you sang in the shower:
I don’t remember the last song I sang in the shower (probably because #momlife prevents me from showering regularly. I’m really failing at my 2017 goals.) But more often than not I listen to my Ed Sheeran station on Pandora, so here is a new tune by Ed.
What is your greatest fear:
Sometimes it’s heights, but not always. I really don’t like giant tree roaches, or making phone calls.
Somewhere you haven’t been that you’d like to go:
I want to travel the world. Visit my friend in Hawaii, jog on the Great Wall of China, hug a kangaroo in Australia, and go to Poland. I’m fascinated by Eastern Europe.
What would you want as your last meal on earth:
Pretty much any pasta dish, or rice and beans. Something creamy, but I won’t have to suffer the next day.
The TV show you’re binge-watching now:
We’ve been detoxing from tv slightly, but we are in the middle of One Tree Hill, and still playing catchup with Once Upon A Time.
Last person you kissed:
This time it’s Babygirl Gingercakes. She’s been fighting a stomach bug so we were sleeping in the living room together before she tried to claim by nipple like bubble gum and I put her back in her bed instead.
Which living person do you most admire?
Someone famous? Ellen Degeneres Someone who should be famous? Virginia L. This lady is across the country from her home with two young kids (and her husband, of course). She’s been running 3 years now and crushed every PR in the book, and was even listed as one of the Top 20 fastest runners in Texas for 2016. Please, push me to be like her. And please, don’t let her read this. #girlcrush
Three words that best describe you:
Altruistic, Catlady, Compassionate
What’s the craziest thing someone’s said to you on social media?
Frankly, I have a stalker who spins reality and has said some straight up crazy things to me that is not worth repeating. I just hope she gets the attention she craves and can stop being, well, batshit crazy. Thought it was over but…
Favorite time of the week:
I love Zumba on Tuesdays, and going to McAlisters for lunch.
Childhood crush:
I think I crushed on Jared Leto as Jordan Catalano, because I was supposed to. But in seriousness it was like Twister from Rocket Power.
Sometimes I still look back and ask myself how I didn’t end up with a Hispanic husband.
Most recent tattoo:
It’s not recent, but the last one is lyrics from Repo: The Genetic Opera on my back.
Would you rather have a chauffeur, a chef, a personal trainer, or someone to clean your home for you?
Please please please, can I have someone clean my house? I feel like the clutter is going to eat me alive. I spend time each day throwing stuff out, but I swear when we move I’m leaving everything and starting fresh.
