It started with one dress. You saw it, your daughter needed to have it, and she fell in love. Before you knew it there was a DotDotSmile #SmileMail in your mailbox every single day, and now you are wondering how you can add all this DotDot to your kid’s closet. Right? Have no fear, I am here!
DotDotSmile has recently announced a price increase of our three styles of dresses, based on the ever increasing quality of fabrics and production, and exclusivity of new prints. I know, I know, enough with the ugly cry tears. We all like to save a pretty penny here and there, but it’s only a $2 raise, and frankly the dresses are worth that and more. These new dresses are impeccable, and worth the $34 each.
That being said, I know we all want our daughters (nieces can granddaughters, little sisters) to have a closet full of DotDot dresses, but sometimes it just isn’t possible. When there is a great deal at the department store, or someone offers some handmidowns, your child’s closet is bound to have pieces of clothing that are other brands. That is ok.
One of the concerns parents have is how these DotDot dresses will integrate into her current closet. But the truth is, there is NO Reason to worry. These dresses are extremely versatile and will seamlessly blend into any closet.
Mix, Match, and Layer
The quickest way to change up a dress is by throwing leggings underneath it. Busy print dress? Wear solid leggings. Or, for fun you can pattern mix and have endless possibilities.
Graphic tees tied off at the waist pulls together a perfect outfit for a casual day.
Cold weather? Not in Southeast Texas, but maybe wherever you are. Pair the dress with a cardigan, faux fur vest, or even a denim or leather jacket. Add a collared shirt under a ballerina, and roll up the sleeves.
School dress code? Solid dresses are great for wearing under a polo!
The most unique styling tip, wear two of the same dresses but two sizes apart for a ruffled layering affect.
Never underestimate footwear. Sandals, flats, tennis shoes, boots– too name it. Try the same dress with different shoes and be amazed at what a big change a simple swap can make.
