As a toddler mom, white is a disaster waiting to happen. Actually, every time I wear white pants a disaster in fact does happen- the first time, something blue rubbed all over them in the wash. The second time I wore white pants, I spilled coffee. This most recent time, I dropped a chocolate on my lap as I tried to eat it quickly so the aforementioned toddler didn’t see.
White pants are very popular right now, and available at any retail outlet. They add a light and refreshing vibe to any outfit, which is perfect for spring and summer months.
I found these cropped white jeggings at Walmart for less than $12, and they are affordable and absolutely perfect. They also have full length options, and if white truly isn’t your scene, they have khaki options as well.
But don’t give up on white pants just yet. Here are five different way’s I’ve styled white pants.
The 1st way to style white pants is with a pop of pink. I paired them with a bright pink tank and pink tassel earrings, then a neutral wedge heel. This pink tank is actually reversible, with a navy opposite side, and the navy would be a great contrast to the white as well.
I wore a strapless bra, since the tank is spaghetti strap.
The second way to wear white pants is with a button-up shirt, tied at the waist, with a lacey bralette. White is so delicate, that the lace doubles the feminine factor. I chose a button-up with white stripes, but a solid or any other print would be great too. Just leave a few buttons undone so the lace detail peaks out.
The 3rd way to wear white pants had me feeling nautical. I paired a super comfy black and white striped v-neck with red earrings. I’m still wearing the white lacey bralette, but that’s optional. The stripes break up the white, and red gives it a nice pop of color.
The 4th way to wear white pants had me feeling work vibes, even though I’ve been a stay-at-home-mom for three years. Instead of stripes, I paired them with polka dots! A button up tucked in (a black belt would have broken up the white even more!) says, “hello, office!”
I also paired this white on white ensemble with blue shoes, and modest gemstone stud earrings, but of course those are optional.
Finally, the 5th way to wear white pants is super low key casual. I paired them with a fun tank and sneaker slides. Any combination of boyfriend tank and sneaks would pair off perfectly.
There are endless possibilities of outfits to wear with white pants, so don’t be scared! Even if you have a toddler, like me, white pants are worth the risk. If you have a pair, drop a pic of your fave outfit in the comments below! I can’t wait to see your white pant OOTD!
Love these ideas. They are easy and most we already have in our closet. The I hate running shirt is awesome lol. Great article 🙂
You are so brave with white pants and a toddler!! I used to wear white pants all the time and this makes me want to again!! I especially love the button up crop look!!
I decided not to let CA stop me from doing, or wearing, what I want. She’s my sidekick, not my fallback.
Plus, that’s what stain sticks are for!
